1572-1618, before the age of thirty war, created the cologne clergyman Georg Braun and the Dutch engraver Franz Hogenberg a large picture atlas in six folio volumes that she called "Civitates Orbis Terrarum". From this work 32 of the typical pictures and most beautiful cities views selected and under the title »Old euro pape cityscapes«. The city book is primarily a picture book. The texts that the filling the back of the boards are additional items.
