Art of War on Land by Burne 1958 (England)
THE ART OF WAR ON LAND. Lt. Colonel Alfred H. Burne (United Kingdom), Illustrated by Campaigns and Battles of All Ages, The Military Service Publishing Co., Harrisburg, 1958.
Alfred Higgins Burne (1886–1959) was a soldier and military historian. He invented the concept of Inherent Military Probability; in battles and campaigns where there is some doubt over what action was taken, Burne believed that the action taken would be one which a trained staff officer of the twentieth century would take. Part of the Military Classics series by Stackpole Books.
