Page of book has a promotional letter on Carnation Co. letterhead urging the recipient to "give Carnation Irradiated Milk a try." Before adopting the name "evaporated milk," Carnation branded its canned milk "irradiated milk," for the process by which it was subjected to ultraviolet light in order to produce additional Vitamin D. (Depression era). Nicely illustration plus several color photograph pages. This is a great vintage collectible book! There are recipes of all types.
