Full calf leather in fair minus condition. Secure text blocks with Vol. 1, rear cover detached (and present), Vol. 2, both covers detached (and present), Vol. 3, okay, Vol, 4, front cover detached (and present). The top panel on volume 1 is missing. The volume number label on #4 is missing. The spines are quite fragile and frayed and the covers rub off somewhat. In Volume 3 the original owner discreetly entered the names in ink (within the text) where the author had left them out (scattered throughout). Volume 3 also has a 3/4-inch chip at the bottom of the spine. More recent owner name at the front endpaper and old scribbled ink name at the top of the title page. Rare in any condition. 16mo about 6-1/2 x 4.
