D. H. Lawrence, in full David Herbert Lawrence, (1885-1930), English author of novels, short stories, poems, plays, essays, travel books, and letters. His novels Sons and Lovers (1913), The Rainbow (1915), and Women in Love (1920) made him one of the most influential English writers of the 20th century.

 

Brown cover with a gilt spine title and a small gilt phoenix art piece to the spine center and front. Heavy rear bottom corner bump (effecting half of the rear pages), and milder bumps to the other three corner tips. Center binding crack otherwise good with clean pages and original owner name at the front endpaper. And the cover has some color fading, rub and scratch marks, and small soil spots. About 9-1/2 x 6-1/4 with 852 pages. About fair plus condition with clean pages.
