COUGAR CAMP is the second book in a series that started with COUGAR HUNT. The story takes place in the Northwest. It is about the increasing presence of cougars in populated areas. The work is fiction, but based on research of actual incidents.

Cougar Camp is about cougars in backyards, jogging trails and other places we’re not really expecting them. It’s about a family that moves into a newly developing area about 30 miles east of Seattle, in a mountainous area that used to be cougar and bear country, but is now very populated. Barbara goes on a backpacking fly fishing trip by herself in the Northern Cascades and has a chair gripping experience.
