Writing surfaces and printing methods used prior to the invention of paper in A.D. 105 and before the introduction of paper in Europe are described. Well illustrated, mostly in color, with many plates courtesy of Dard Hunter Paper Museum. Text in English and Japanese.

 

First Edition. A "limited edition" produced to commemorate the completion of the North Pacific Paper Corporation, the first American/Japanese joint venture in papermaking located in the United States.
