"Hiawatha" sold half a million copies after release. It has been recorded numerous times and started a decade long fad for "Indian" songs. "Hiawatha" was named for Hiawatha, Kansas, not for Longfellow's poem.
Black and green illustrated cover showing indian woman seated at the edge of a cliff. Worn sheet music with creases and tears and cover detached with a three-and-a-half-inch tear from spine edge. Original owner name/address in pencil at the rear. Fair condition.
