The former owner's name is in ink at the decorative endpaper with Book of the Month Club Edition written. The bottom of the spine has a quarter-inch chew mark (affecting the jacket as well), and there is a very light surface crease at the cover fore-edge. Secure binding with clean pages and the owner's name and Sept. 1929 date at the half-title page. The jacket has a few small splotch stains at the rear, mild stains at the spine, and small wear to the extremities. Hardcover book with jacket. 312 pages.
