Henry Fielding (1707-1754) was an English novelist and dramatist known for his earthy humour and satire, and as the author of the comic novel Tom Jones. He travelled to Lisbon in 1754 for reasons of health, and died there on 8th October.

Red cover with a gilt spine title and a dark top edge. Nice condition with a solid binding, clean pages, and owner bookplate at inside cover/owner name at front endpaper. Jacket is sunned at spine otherwise nice. About 7 x 4-1/4 with 286 pp. plus 15 pages of ads.
