Photo and neat little story about James Obenauf, a pilot who elected to land his burning plane rather than bail out, that way he saved crewman Joseph Maxwell who was unconscious. Excellent photo of Alfred Landosky's car on collapsed bridge over the Kawkawlin river near Bay City, Michigan. The race horse Silky Sullivan does poorly in the Kentucky Derby.

Humorous article about gardening by Phyllis McGinley. Nice color feature on Expressionist art. A very neat article about Quarter Midget race cars for little kids, they go to 28 MPH. The race to map the earth, includes art by Arthur Shilstone, photo of peak top outpost in Greenland, more. Photo essay - Brussels light-up time. Photo essay - Soraya in search of solace. Boom in a violent art. Footloose high over Paris.

Nice condition with some light surface edge creases & clean pages.
