Conchology- the study and collection of marine, freshwater and terrestrial shells.
 
Half brown leather with marbled boards and red cloth repair tape at the spine. The spine leather was removed at one time and replaced with red cloth tape. The cover is lightly rubbed and there is some rubbing to the edges and frays at the corners. A small page section has some small fore edge chips. There's a slight crack at the center of the book and it's otherwise secure, with ever so slight scattered foxing. Owner name with 1936 date at the front endpaper. Just over 10-1/2 x 7 with 327 pages. Illustrated throughout with pictorials of shells. Written in French. Scarce!
