This is Volume II ONLY.

Baroness Frances Waddington Bunsen series.

Christian Charles or Karl Josias von Bunsen (1791-1860), also known as Baron von Bunsen, was a German diplomat and scholar. He had ten children, including five sons. His father was a farmer who was driven by poverty to become a soldier.

One of his last requests having been that his wife (his widow Frances Baroness Bunsen) would write down recollections of their common life, she published his Memoirs in 1868, which contain much of his private correspondence. The German translation of these Memoirs has added extracts from unpublished documents, throwing a new light upon the political events in which he played a part. Baron Humboldt's letters to Bunsen were printed in 1869.

Secure binding with inside front cover just a little loose and mild pressure wear, moderately soiled & lightly stained. Nice clean pages except for frontis. About 7-1/2 x 5 with 418 pp. Scarce!
