$42.95Price

My Hopes and My Heroes. FRANK B. STEARNS, "DAD," Herald Printing & Stationery Co., Decatur, Illinois, 1903.

Frank B. "Dad" Stearns was proprietor of the Decatur (Illinois) Hotel from 1900 to 1910. He was something of a Character, known for his optimism and humor; if the thorough local coverage of this book's release is any indication, he was well-liked in Decatur.

This volume contains "Dad" Stearns' poetic efforts, humorous and somber, with many covering subjects of the day (such as the death of President William McKinley, a personal friend of his), as well as those more local and personal. Features C. L. Smith's charming illustrations, as well as some photo-illustrations.
