Black leather with four raised bands to the spine, a gilt spine title, all edges gilt, and inner gilt decorated edges to the cover. Secure binding with clean pages and a moderately (to heavily) rubbed cover. Darkened foxing at the cream endpapers. Nice original small fancy cursive inscription (with date) at the front free endpaper. Nice pages with a hint of scattered foxing in a few places. Rare Catholic book. About 5 7/8 x 3 3/4 with 944 pages.
