Half leather (spine and corners) with marbled boards and black and red swatch at the spine title. One volume with 110 pp. and 118 pages. There are some small cracks and pits at the cover corner/edge and a lightly rubbed cover. Secure binding with clean pages and very light scattered foxing.

 

Two cursive names/locations/one with an 1868 date, the other with Treasurer below it at the front endpapers. And at the free back of the first Appendix title page section, there is a pencil inscription (Dr. James McBride) with name/location/date/... (For or Your?) Delegate to Congress (http://ncbible.org/nwh/promcbridej.html). According to history, he moved to St. Helens Oregon in 1867.

 

This book was purchased from an old estate by one of the longtime, most well-known, and respected business owners (and attorney) of St. Helens Oregon (DILLARD). About 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Rare Oregon history, Civil War era law book!
