This book is an autobiography of Ferd Groner who lived a very interesting life in rural Hillsboro, Oregon. Mr. Groner had 1000 acres of hay at the turn of the century. He then created the walnut growing industry in Oregon and was known as the Walnut King of the west coast. He wrote this book in 1944 and it was printed on paper available during WWII. He write this book to help younger generations learn from his experiences.
