A 1952 American drama film produced & directed by Cecil B. DeMille, shot in Technicolor and released by Paramount Pictures. Set in the Ringling Bros. & Barnum & Bailey Circus, the film stars Betty Hutton and Cornel Wilde as trapeze artists competing for the center ring, and Charlton Heston as the circus manager running the show. James Stewart stars in a supporting role as a mysterious clown who never removes his make-up, even between shows, while Dorothy Lamour and Gloria Grahame also play supporting roles. The circus' troupe of 1400 people, hundreds of animals, and 60 railroad cars of equipment and tents.
Bright illustrated cover that is loose from the staples and a few small tears at rear top edge. 12 x 9. A child got to some of the pages with a marker or crayon so it is only in poor to fair minus condition. Scarce nonetheless.
