Peter French (1849 – 1897) was a rancher in the western United States in the late 19th century. The community of Frenchglen, Oregon, was partially named for him.
 
Tan cover with dark brown title, small art piece and illustrated map endpapers. Secure binding with clean pages and a light spine shift. The orange, black and white illustrated jacket (cowboy on horse) has some small edge tears and is lightly rubbed.  About 8-3/4 x 5-3/4 with 229 pp. plus one. Scarce with jacket!
