Thomas Moore was an Irish writer, poet and lyricist celebrated for his Irish Melodies. Their setting of English-Language verse to old Irish tunes marked the transition in popular Irish culture from Gaelic to English.
Secure binding with front inner hinge a little loose. There is a white piece of paper DUE DATE library paper taped to the rear pastedown, and a black piece of tape with the number 0 on the bottom spine. The cover is lightly rubbed with bumped corner tips and some mild surface creases to the rear board. Lightly browned age-toned pages. About 10 x 6 with 552 pages. Illustrated. Scarce!
