THE ABLE MCLAUGHLINS
The Able McLaughlins is a 1923 novel by Margaret Wilson. Beautiful story of Scottish immigrants who migrated to the mid-west and laid the foundation of their values. The novel takes place in a midwestern Scottish farming community during the 1860s. Tells the story of Wully McLaughlin coming home from the Civil War to find his sweetheart pregnant with another man’s child. It won the Pulitzer Prize for the Novel in 1924.
Nice condition with light cover wear (small tear at spine top) & clean pages. Just over 8-1/4 x 5-1/2. About 90 pages. Illustrated. Classic Americana literary journal.
