Full morocco leather with five raised bands to the spine, elaborately tooled stamped cover with bold gilt Shakespeare to the front and rear, all edges gilt, and marbled endpapers. Secure binding with light wear to the extremities and edges and mild color fading to the cover. About 10 x 7-1/4 with 968 pages. Includes a full-page cursive gift inscription on a front-end paper from a minister at St. David's parish, Oregon, on the 1st of January 1878. It's in nice condition overall!
 
And if there's a chance the Sellwood listed in the inscription is the one who helped to build the city (in Oregon) then it's well worth the purchase!
